Red Chair | Digital Print | Still Life Painting

I made this little illustration in my sketchbook using acrylic markers and really loved the contrast of color and textures. It's a simple sketch, of mundane imagery, but I love how it tells a story about space and time in it's isolation. The sharp shadows on the ground remind me of summers in the sun, visiting the local pool and wreaking havoc with my brothers and sisters during summer break. This chair is more than just a chair to me. It's a story about childhood.
